We are experienced litigators with a diverse practice that includes business, real estate, partnership, legal ethics, and insurance coverage disputes.  We also provide full-service representation to charter schools.

We represent individual and corporate clients in a broad range of business disputes.  Our cases involve breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, veil piercing, business torts, trade secrets, legal and accounting malpractice, non-competition and enforcing judgments.

Our firm handles a variety of real estate-related matters, including specific performance, landlord and tenant, restrictive covenants, nuisance, condominiums, construction defects, right of first refusal, adverse possession, easements, brokerage commissions, property management, zoning and construction permits.

We represent partners, shareholders, LLC members, and business and professional organizations in disputes relating to their duties and the management and termination of their relationships.

We advise D.C. charter schools and advocacy groups on regulation, funding, operations, governance, revocation and compliance issues.  We represent clients seeking to open charter schools, renew their charters and negotiate takeover transactions.  We also defend charter schools threatened with closure and have represented charter schools and advocacy groups in high profile funding equity litigation against the District of Columbia.

We advise lawyers and law firms on their ethical and fiduciary obligations to each other and to their clients.  Our representations have encompassed partnership formation, restructuring, withdrawals and mergers, as well as conflicts of interest, malpractice litigation and fee disputes.

We represent policyholders in property and liability coverage disputes, drawing on our many years of experience representing major insurers in complex insurance coverage cases with hundreds of millions of dollars at stake.
